Set Up Old Colors Programmer Art for the First Time

Install Required Dependencies

Before the resource pack can work, you need to have Polytone installed. This mod is essential—without it, the custom colors won't apply to your blocks and items. Make sure Polytone is in your mods folder and the game launches successfully.

Load the Resource Pack

Once Polytone is active, add the Old Colors Programmer Art resource pack to your resource packs folder. Launch Minecraft and open the resource pack menu from the main screen. Find Old Colors Programmer Art in the available packs list and move it to the active section. Place it above any other texture packs so its textures take priority.

Verify It's Working

Create a new world or load an existing one. Look at your blocks and items—they should now display classic programmer art colors instead of modern textures. If blocks still look modern, double-check that Polytone is installed and that the resource pack is positioned correctly in your load order. You may need to restart the game for changes to fully apply.
