Why Third-Person Blur Looks Wrong
In third-person view the camera sits behind the player, so the whole screen moves differently than in first person. Blur that feels natural while walking forward can look smeared or nauseating when the camera swings around your character. The mod includes a dedicated F5 blur toggle specifically so you can keep blur in first person but suppress it in third person.
Changing the F5 Setting
Open the mod's config and find the F5 blur toggle. Disable it to make the mod skip frame blending whenever you are in third-person mode. Enable it if you actually like the effect from behind the player. The change applies immediately, so you can press F5 to cycle camera modes and confirm the difference without reloading.
Practical Workflow
A common setup is: blur on, F5 blur off. That gives you smooth first-person movement for normal play, but clean, readable third-person views for screenshots, cinematic shots, or checking your character's pose and armor. If you record gameplay that mixes both perspectives, this combination avoids jarring transitions where the blur suddenly appears or disappears. Test both camera modes after changing the setting to make sure the result matches what you expect.
