What Stays Vanilla
Native Vein Textures is purely visual. All core mining mechanics remain unchanged:
- Mining levels (pickaxe tiers required) stay the same for every ore
- XP drops when mining ores are unaffected
- Loot tables produce identical items
- Recipe tags for crafting remain valid
Testing Your Setup
1. Mine an ore you know well (like iron or diamond) in a stone pocket
2. Check your inventory for the expected item and XP gain
3. Use the ore in a recipe if applicable—it should work identically to vanilla
4. Check JEI, REI, or Jade (item viewers) to confirm ore information displays correctly
If anything behaves differently—wrong drops, missing XP, or broken recipes—the issue is not this mod. Native Vein Textures only changes how ores *look*, never how they *function*. Your mining speed, tool requirements, and item output are completely preserved.
