Understand Which Mobs Are Affected

Compatible Mobs

Not all mobs in Minecraft will dismember. The mod currently works with a specific set of mobs:

• Zombies — display blood effects when dismembered
• Zombie Pigmen — display blood effects when dismembered
• Skeletons — bones scatter as they fall apart
• Creepers — explode into pieces

Mobs Not Affected

Other hostile and passive mobs (such as Endermen, Spiders, Witches, or animals) will continue to use their standard death animations. Only the four mob types listed above have dismemberment animations.

If you're not seeing dismemberment effects on a mob you expected to work, verify that the Animated Corpse setting is enabled in your Other settings, and confirm you're killing one of the compatible mob types.
