Enable Dismemberment Effects for Mobs

Activating the Feature

Mob dismemberment is disabled by default. You need to manually enable it through your game settings.

1. Press Escape to open the pause menu

2. Click Settings

3. Navigate to the Other tab

4. Scroll down to find Animated Corpse (this is the Mob Dismemberment setting)

5. Click the checkbox next to it to enable the feature

6. Close settings and resume your game

What to Expect

Once enabled, compatible mobs will now visibly fall apart when they die instead of simply disappearing. Zombies and Zombie Pigmen will display blood effects as they dismember. This creates a more dynamic death animation that replaces the standard Minecraft death sequence.

Note that this feature is entirely client-side, meaning it only affects what you see on your screen. Other players won't see the dismemberment effects unless they also have the mod installed and enabled.
