Balance Sunlight and Moonlight for Day-Night Cycles
Access Lighting Controls
Open the shader configuration menu and find settings related to sun and moon brightness, or general lighting intensity. These controls affect how bright daytime appears and how visible nighttime terrain becomes.
Brighten Daytime Lighting
Increase sun brightness to make daylight more intense and warm. This enhances the visibility of sunlit blocks and creates stronger contrast with shadowed areas. Adjust until open fields feel naturally bright without washing out colors.
Enhance Nighttime Visibility
Raise moonlight or ambient night brightness to make nighttime exploration easier. Higher values illuminate terrain without torches, while lower values create a darker, more atmospheric night. Consider your playstyle—survival players often prefer brighter nights, while atmospheric players may want darker conditions.
Adjust Color Temperature
Modify the warmth of sunlight and coolness of moonlight separately if options exist. Warmer sun creates golden daytime tones, while cooler moon produces blue-tinted nights.
