Adjust Water Clarity and Wave Intensity
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated key (usually found in your controls settings or shader menu). Look for water-related parameters in the configuration panel.
Modify Water Properties
Locate sliders or toggles for water transparency and wave motion. Increasing transparency makes ocean floors more visible, while reducing it creates deeper, more opaque water. Wave intensity controls how pronounced the surface undulation appears—higher values create more dramatic motion, lower values produce calmer seas.
Fine-Tune Reflections
If available, adjust reflection quality settings. Higher reflection detail shows more accurate sky and terrain mirroring on water surfaces, but may impact performance. Lower settings create subtler reflections while improving frame rates.
Test Your Changes
Navigate to different water bodies—oceans, rivers, and lakes—to see how adjustments affect each environment. Water behavior varies by depth and biome, so test multiple locations. Return to the shader menu to refine settings until you achieve your preferred visual balance between clarity, motion, and performance.
