Customize Spawn Rates for Artifacts Items

Adjust how often special items appear

This datapack lets you control the spawn frequency of items added by the Artifacts mod. Instead of using default rates, you can make certain items more or less common in loot chests.

How to change spawn chances

1. Locate the datapack's loot table files in your world folder

2. Open the relevant loot table JSON file for the chest type you want to modify (buried treasure, village trades, etc.)

3. Find the entry for the Artifacts item you want to adjust

4. Change the weight value—higher numbers make items spawn more often, lower numbers make them rarer

5. Save the file and run /reload in chat

Testing your changes

Generate new chunks or open chests you haven't looted yet to see the updated spawn rates. Existing loot won't change, so explore new areas to verify your adjustments worked.
