Getting Started with Lighter Game Shaders

Installation and Setup

Lighter Game Shaders requires Iris to function. Make sure Iris is installed on your Minecraft client before proceeding.

1. Place the shader pack file into your shaderpacks folder (usually found in .minecraft/shaderpacks)

2. Launch Minecraft and enter a world

3. Open the Shader Options menu (typically accessed through Video Settings)

4. Select Lighter Game Shaders from the available shader packs list

5. The shader will load automatically

First-Time Adjustments

Once active, you'll notice warm lighting from torches and light sources immediately. The shader is designed to work well on medium-tier computers without requiring tweaks, but you can access shader-specific settings through the Shader Options menu if you want to fine-tune bloom intensity or shadow detail.

If your frame rate drops noticeably, try lowering your render distance or disabling some optional visual features in the shader settings. The pack is optimized for steady performance, so significant lag usually indicates a system bottleneck rather than a shader issue.
