Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated key (typically found in your controls settings). Look for the shader configuration panel—this is where all visual adjustments live.
Configure Shadow Parameters
Locate the shadow-related sliders in the options menu. You'll find controls for:
- Shadow distance: Controls how far shadows extend across the ground from light sources
- Shadow softness: Adjusts the blur and feathering of shadow edges for a more natural look
- Shadow intensity: Darkens or lightens the shadow areas to match your preference
Adjust these values in real-time and watch the changes apply to your world immediately. If shadows feel too harsh, increase softness. If they're barely visible, boost intensity.
Fine-Tune for Time of Day
Shadows shift throughout the day as the sun and moon move. Test your settings at different times—noon produces sharp, short shadows, while sunrise and sunset create long, dramatic ones. Adjust until the shadow behavior feels right for your playstyle and aesthetic preference.
