Understand Water Rendering in N87
N87 enhances water clarity and reflectivity, making it respond realistically to sunlight. The shader automatically improves water appearance compared to vanilla, but you can optimize the effect further.
Adjust Water Transparency Settings
In shader options, look for water clarity, water transparency, or water fog distance settings. Increasing these values makes water clearer and lets you see deeper underwater. Decrease them if you prefer more opaque, mysterious water.
Control Water Reflections
Some versions of N87 include water reflection intensity sliders. Higher values create mirror-like reflections of the sky and surroundings on the water surface. Lower values give a more subtle, natural appearance.
Position Yourself for Best Results
Water looks most impressive when sunlight hits it directly. Visit water during daytime and position yourself at different angles—standing on shore, in shallow water, and underwater—to see how your settings affect visibility and visual appeal. Adjust settings based on your preferred aesthetic.
