  4. Adjust Wave Intensity (Optional)

Open Shader Options

Access your shader settings through Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options in-game.

Locate Water Wave Toggle

Find the option for "Water Waves," "Wave Animation," or similar. This controls whether oceans, rivers, and other water blocks display ripple animations.

Toggle On or Off

Enable waves for a more dynamic, living world feel. Disable them if you prefer still water or want a slight performance boost on lower-end systems.

Adjust Wave Intensity (Optional)

If your shader offers wave strength or amplitude controls, use these to make ripples more or less pronounced. Subtle waves feel natural; stronger waves create a stormy appearance.

Note: Disabling waves does not affect water color, transparency, or lighting—only the surface animation changes.
