Static Phase Design

Unlike Minecraft's default moon, which cycles through phases, SV Kerbal Skies keeps all planets in a single fixed appearance. This is intentional—each Kerbal world always shows the same illuminated face to your base.

Why This Matters

This design choice simplifies the visual system and keeps the sky consistent. You won't see Mun gradually wax and wane like the vanilla moon. Instead, it maintains one permanent phase, making it easier to recognize and more predictable for building and navigation.

What You'll See

When you look up, planets like Duna, Jool, and Mun will always appear in the same state. The sun (Kerbol) remains a bright yellow point, and distant stars stay scattered across the dark sky. This static approach gives the Kerbal system a distinctive, unchanging character compared to Earth's dynamic lunar cycle.
