The Core Rule: Run It Alone
The pack is built to match vanilla's art style and works best by itself on top of its base animation pack. Stacking other resource packs that touch mob textures will usually break the glow, because whichever pack loads last wins for that texture file.
If You Use Shaders
Shaders change how light and emissive textures are rendered, so results vary. Some shader packs handle emissive layers well and the glow will look stronger; others ignore them and the effect may look flat or washed out. Test in a dark area with a mob you know glows — a Stray at night is a good test subject. If the glow disappears entirely under shaders, try toggling the shader's emissive or "blocklight" options, or temporarily disable shaders to confirm the pack itself still works.
Ordering With Other Packs
If you must combine packs, put the emissive pack above anything that retextures mobs, so its glow layers take priority. Keep
Fresh Animations directly below the emissive pack. Avoid running two emissive add-ons at once — they'll fight over the same files and you'll get inconsistent results. When in doubt, strip your pack list down to just the base animation pack plus this one, verify the glow, then add packs back one at a time and reload after each addition so you can see exactly which one breaks it.
