Why Skip Torches

With Fullbright enabled, caves and underground areas are fully lit regardless of light level. This means you can mine deep without placing torches to navigate, saving inventory space and resources.

How to Mine Efficiently

1. Descend into caves or strip mines — you'll notice the area is bright and clearly visible, even in deep darkness.

2. Focus on ore hunting — without shadows obscuring details, you can spot iron, gold, diamonds, and other ores quickly against stone.

3. Skip torch placement — since everything is visible, you don't need to mark your path with torches. Move freely through tunnels and caverns.

4. Mine faster — without stopping to place lighting, your mining speed increases significantly.

5. Return to base easily — use landmarks or mental notes of tunnel direction; the brightness makes navigation straightforward.

Pro Tips

  • Keep a pickaxe and collection tool ready instead of torches
  • Use the clear visibility to spot mob spawners or dangerous drops ahead
  • Mark important locations with blocks if needed, but lighting is no longer a concern
