The Challenge
Dungeons Water Resource Pack is designed to look bright and saturated in sunlight, but underwater or in caves, water can appear dim. Here's how to keep it looking good in all lighting.
Lighting Solutions
Use Glow Squid or Lighting Blocks
- Place glow squid nearby or use glowing blocks to illuminate underwater areas
- The pack's saturated textures respond well to additional light sources
Optimize Your Render Settings
- Increase brightness in Video Settings if playing in darker areas frequently
- Adjust gamma to brighten shadows without washing out the texture detail
Strategic Placement
- Build water features in well-lit areas when possible
- Use lanterns, campfires, or other light sources around pools and fountains
Result
The stylized water textures will maintain their vibrant Dungeons appearance even in shadowed areas, keeping your builds visually consistent with the resource pack's intended aesthetic.
