Plan a Mining Route Around the Glow

Instead of strip mining blindly, use the emissive pack as a scouting tool. The glow lets you decide where to dig before you commit.

1. Carry a stack of torches but keep them unlit while scouting — darkness makes the glow easier to see.

2. Branch out from a central shaft and pause at each junction to scan ceilings and floors.

3. When you spot a colored glow, mark the direction with a torch or a block so you can return after mining.

Mining the Ore Safely

Once you reach a glowing block:

  • Clear surrounding stone first so you do not accidentally drop the ore into lava or water.
  • If the ore sits on a ceiling, build a small platform underneath before breaking it, so the drop does not fall into a pit.
  • For underwater ores, place a temporary block beside the ore to stand on, then mine.

Stockpile and Sort

Because the glow makes ores easy to find, you will gather them faster than usual. Keep a dedicated chest near your base for Cobblemon ores and sort by color so you know at a glance which type you have plenty of and which you still need. This saves trips back into the caves when you are crafting or trading.
