Access Notification Settings
Open your plugin's config.yml file. The plugin allows you to customize the text that appears in external chat channels whenever events occur—player joins, leaves, deaths, and advancements.
Edit Event Messages
Locate the notification sections for each event type:
- Join messages: Customize what text shows when a player enters the server
- Leave messages: Set the text for when players disconnect
- Death messages: Configure how player deaths are announced
- Advancement messages: Tailor milestone notifications
Modify the text strings to match your community's style. You can include player names and other variables supported by the plugin.
Apply Changes
Save your config.yml file and restart the server. The new notification text will now appear in your linked Matterbridge channels whenever those events occur. Test by having a player join or leave to confirm the custom messages display correctly in your external chat platform.
