Accessing the Configuration File

Locate your server's Config.yml file in the plugin folder. This file controls all messages players see during swap events.

Editing Notification Messages

Open Config.yml in a text editor. You'll find entries for chat messages sent:

  • Before a swap occurs (warning message)
  • After a swap completes (confirmation message)
  • Any other notifications during the session

Edit the text in these entries to customize what players see. For example, you can change a generic "Swap incoming!" to something like "Hold onto your hats—items incoming in 5 seconds!"

Applying Changes

Save the file after editing. Restart your server or reload the plugin for changes to take effect. The next time you run a /swap session, players will see your custom messages instead of the defaults.

Tips

Keep messages clear and concise so players have time to read them. You can add color codes or formatting if your server supports them. Test messages with a small group first to ensure they display correctly.
