Locating the Structure
Better Dungeons replaces the vanilla dungeon, so you will not find a separate new mob-spawning block to hunt for. Instead, look for the familiar mossy cobblestone box, but expect it to be larger and more elaborate than vanilla. The most reliable way to find one is to explore caves, ravines, and mineshafts, since dungeons generate underground attached to natural cave systems. If you want to speed
things up, use a structure-locating command or an external mapping tool while exploring, then tunnel toward the coordinates it reports.
What to Bring Before You Enter
Do not treat this like a vanilla dungeon run. Bring a full set of decent armor, a stack of torches, a bow with arrows, and blocks to pillar up or wall off corridors. A water bucket helps against fall traps and lava. Carry food and a few healing items because the redesigned rooms can chain multiple spawner encounters together.
Entering Safely
Break in through a wall rather than the obvious entrance when possible, so you can scout the first room before mobs notice you. Light up each room as you clear it. Watch the floor for pressure plates and the ceiling for openings where mobs can drop on you. Once the first spawner room is clear, mark your path back to the surface before pushing deeper.
