How to Upgrade Your Staff of Building to Netherite

What You Need

To upgrade, you need three things: a Diamond Staff of Building, a netherite ingot, and the smithing template required by the mod's smithing recipe. The Diamond Staff of Building is made at a crafting table with a shaped recipe using diamonds. The netherite ingot comes from netherite scrap and gold, as usual. The smithing template is the item your recipe book shows for the Netherite Staff of Building.

Using the Smithing Table

Place the smithing table and open it. Put the Diamond Staff of Building in the base slot, the netherite ingot in the addition slot, and the smithing template in the template slot. The result slot shows the Netherite Staff of Building. Take it out to complete the upgrade. The diamond staff is consumed in the process.

After the Upgrade

The Netherite Staff of Building is the strongest staff you can make with a smithing recipe. It is not the final tier, however. The Infinite Staff of Building sits above it and is made through the mod's crafting recipes. Keep your Netherite Staff of Building until you can craft the Infinite Staff of Building, since the netherite staff is the best staff available while you gather the materials for the infinite one.
