Enable Tooltip Scrolling for Long Text

When to Use Scrolling

Tooltips with extensive descriptions or many attribute lines can overflow your screen. Simply Tooltips lets you enable scrolling so players can view all information without the tooltip extending off-screen.

Configuring Scroll Behavior

In your theme configuration, set a maximum height for tooltips. When text exceeds this limit, a scrollbar appears. Players can then scroll using their mouse wheel while hovering over the item. You can also define:

• Scroll speed – how fast the text moves
• Scrollbar appearance – color and width of the scroll indicator
• Fade effects – optional visual fading at tooltip edges

Testing Your Setup

Equip an item with a long tooltip and hover over it. If scrolling activates, try scrolling with your mouse wheel to confirm smooth behavior. Adjust the maximum height value if tooltips feel too cramped or if scrolling triggers unnecessarily on shorter text.
