Spawning a Capybara
A
Capybara Spawn Egg is the direct way to place a capybara in your world. Use the spawn egg on a solid block in a suitable area and the capybara appears. Keep it near water or grass if you want it to feel at home, since capybaras are large, calm animals that fit naturally into wet, vegetated builds.
Keeping Capybaras Around
Once you have a capybara, build a fenced enclosure using
Maple Fence,
Maple Fence Gate,
Palm Fence, or
Palm Fence Gate. These wood types match the natural, warm look of a capybara habitat. Use a
Maple Door or
Palm Door for a gatehouse entrance, and line the ground with
Palm Leaves or
Maple Planks for a clean floor. Add a small pool of water so the capybara has somewhere to rest.
If you want a themed paddock, surround the pen with
Palm Hanging Leaves and
Coiled Vines for a jungle feel, or plant
Fulvous Maple Sapling,
Mikado Maple Sapling,
Blush Sakura Sapling, or
Cotton Sakura Sapling nearby for shade. Blueberry Bushes also work as decorative undergrowth.
Using Capybaras in Builds
Capybaras make good centerpieces for zoo areas, village ponds, or tropical gardens. Pair them with Ducks by placing a
Duck Spawn Egg in the same enclosure. Use
Asphalt paths and Asphalt Slabs to make visitor walkways around the pen, and place a
Moai statue nearby as a landmark so you can find the habitat again.
