Why Foliage Makes a Good Secret Door

Since foliage blocks no longer stop movement, a wall of leaves looks like an ordinary decorative hedge but lets you walk straight through it. That makes it ideal for hidden passages, concealed bases, and shortcuts that do not look like shortcuts.

Building a Hidden Entrance

1. Choose a spot where a natural-looking leaf wall fits — against a forest edge, around a garden, or as a hedge around a base.

2. Build the leaf wall so it is thick enough to hide what is behind it, but leave a gap in the solid blocks behind the leaves where you want the actual passage.

3. Test by walking into the leaves at the intended spot. You should pass through into the hidden area.

4. Line the hidden side with solid blocks so the passage does not accidentally open into terrain you did not intend.

5. Add a second layer of leaves in front if you want the entrance to be harder to spot from outside.

Caveats

Mobs can use the same opening, so a leaf-only secret door is not secure. Pair it with a solid door or gate behind the leaves if you need real protection. Also remember that other players who know about the mod will expect leaf walls to be walk-through, so do not rely on this trick against informed opponents.
