What the Mod Changes

Passable Foliage makes leaf blocks and similar foliage non-solid for movement. You no longer need to break a path through a forest canopy or hedge — you simply walk into the block and your character passes through it, as if the leaves were tall grass. This applies to players and mobs alike, so animals and hostile mobs can also move through foliage.

Doing It In Practice

1. Find any leaf block, bush, or similar foliage block in the world.

2. Walk straight into it. You should pass through rather than being stopped.

3. Look up while inside the foliage to climb out through the canopy, or keep walking to emerge on the other side.

4. If you get stuck, check whether the block you are pushing against is actually a solid block (log, fence, wall) rather than foliage — only foliage is passable.

Things to Keep in Mind

Because mobs can also pass through leaves, a leaf wall is not a mob-proof barrier. If you were relying on a hedge to keep animals in or monsters out, you will need a different material. Conversely, you can use dense foliage as a natural-looking tunnel or shortcut through a forest without leaving a trail of broken blocks behind you.
