Every origin comes with passive traits and, for many, active abilities bound to keys. Knowing where to find and rebind them is essential.

Finding Your Ability Keys

1. Open Options → Controls → Key Binds.

2. Look for entries added by the mod, typically named for the Primary Ability and Secondary Ability.

3. Assign keys that do not conflict with your movement or inventory keys.

Using Abilities

  • Primary ability: usually a targeted or instant effect, such as a dash, a projectile, or a burst of strength. Press the bound key while the ability is off cooldown.
  • Secondary ability: often a toggle or a longer-cooldown power, such as switching a mode or summoning something.
  • Passive traits: these have no keybind. They apply automatically — for example, night vision, reduced fall damage, or a different diet.

Cooldowns and Feedback

Abilities show a cooldown indicator, often as an icon near your hotbar or as a chat/action-bar message when you try to use them too soon. If an ability does nothing, check that you are not on cooldown and that the origin actually has that ability.

If a key does nothing at all, verify your origin in the origin screen — some origins have only passives and no active powers.
