Use Older Mods Safely Alongside Newer Mods

Why Older Mods Crash

Mods built on Mixin 0.7 can conflict with newer mods using Mixin 0.8. Without intervention, Minecraft loads Mixin versions in random order, causing one set of mods to fail.

Enable Compatibility

Simply install this mod into your mods folder alongside all your other mods. It automatically forces Mixin 0.8 to load first, before any mod initializes. This gives older Mixin 0.7 mods a stable foundation to run on.

Test Your Setup

1. Add the compatibility mod to your mods folder

2. Keep all your existing mods (both old and new)

3. Launch the game normally

4. If you previously crashed on the launcher screen, you should now load successfully

No configuration or in-game setup is required. The mod operates entirely during startup initialization.
