How do I get started with the paint mod?
Craft a Brush first, then hold it and right-click a block to open the painting interface where you can draw your design. Once you have a design you like, use a Stamp to copy and reuse it elsewhere.
How do I open the painting screen?
Hold the Brush and right-click the block you want to paint. The painting interface opens so you can draw your design directly onto that block's face.
What's the difference between the brush and the stamp?
The Brush lets you draw a custom design freehand onto a block. The Stamp copies an existing design and applies it to other blocks so you can repeat it without redrawing.
How do I copy a design with the stamp?
Use the Stamp on a block that already has a painted design to capture it, then use the Stamp on another block to apply that same design there.
Can I paint on all six sides of a block?
Yes, each face of a block can hold its own design. Aim at the specific face you want to paint when you right-click with the Brush.
How do I make a big mural across multiple blocks?
Paint each block face individually with the Brush, or capture a design with the Stamp and apply it block by block to build up the mural. Line up your blocks first so the design flows across them.
How do I remove or erase a design I already painted?
Open the painting interface on that block with the Brush and clear the canvas, then confirm. This resets the block face back to its unpainted state.
My design won't apply to the block, what am I doing wrong?
Make sure you're aiming at the correct face and that the block is one the mod supports for painting. If you're using the Stamp, confirm it actually captured a design first.
Does painting blocks affect performance on a server?
Painted designs are stored as block data, so a large number of painted blocks can add some load. Keep murals reasonable in size and avoid painting huge areas unnecessarily.
Is this mod compatible with other building mods?
It generally works alongside other mods, but painted designs only apply to blocks the mod recognizes. If a block from another mod can't be painted, it simply isn't supported for painting.
