Crafting Saddles and Treats for Taming

Saddle Types

Lycanites Mobs provides a saddle for each creature family. The saddles in the registry are Aberration Saddle, Amphibian Saddle, Anthronian Saddle, Aquatic Saddle, Arachnid Saddle, Avian Saddle, Beast Saddle and Demon Saddle. Each one is crafted at a crafting table using materials tied to that family.

Match the saddle to the creature you want to ride. If you are working with a beast-type mob, craft a Beast Saddle. For flying creatures, craft an Avian Saddle. For water creatures, use an Aquatic Saddle or Amphibian Saddle depending on the mob.

Treats

Each saddle family has a matching treat used to tame or feed the creature: Aberration Treat, Amphibian Treat, Anthronian Treat, Aquatic Treat, Arachnid Treat, Avian Treat, Beast Treat and Demon Treat. Treats are crafted separately from saddles and are consumed when interacting with the creature.

Progression Order

1. Gather the family-specific drops and materials from the creatures you are targeting.

2. Craft the matching Treat first and use it to tame the creature.

3. Craft the matching Saddle and equip it to ride.

Keep spare treats in your inventory, since taming can take several attempts. Once a creature is saddled, it can be ridden and controlled like a normal mount.
