How to Get Started with Lanthanum

Find and Mine Lanthanum Ore

Lanthanum is the backbone of every lamp in this mod. Head underground and mine Lanthanum Ore. Breaking it yields Raw Lanthanum. You can also process ore blocks through a Glowstone Centrifuge if you have one running.

Break Raw Lanthanum Down

Raw Lanthanum does not go straight into a lamp. Convert it into smaller pieces first:

• Craft Raw Lanthanum into Lanthanum Pile.
• Craft Lanthanum Pile into Lanthanum Nugget.
• Craft Lanthanum Nugget into Lanthanum Dust.

Smelting also produces Lanthanum Ingot from the raw material if you prefer ingots for storage or later recipes.

Build Your First Lamp

Once you have Lanthanum Dust, combine it with a light source to make a basic lamp. The Alpha Lamp is the entry point in the lamp progression. From there you can craft Beta Lamp, Gamma Lamp, Delta Lamp, Epsilon Lamp, Zeta Lamp, Eta Lamp, and eventually Omega Lamp by chaining upgrades.

Store Your Materials

Keep Lanthanum Crystal, Lanthanum Clump, Lanthanum Shard, and Lanthanum Mesh on hand. These intermediate forms appear in later lamp and tube recipes, so banking them early saves trips back to the mine.
