Bringing a dinosaur back to life is a multi-step scientific process requiring specialized machinery and patience.

Step 1: Excavation

Players must find Fossil Ore (found between Y levels 0 and 64) or Permafrost (found in cold biomes). Mining these blocks with an iron pickaxe or better yields Bio-Fossils, Relic Scraps, or Frozen Meat.

Step 2: Analysis

Place Bio-Fossils or Frozen Meat into an Analyzer. The machine will process the remains into one of three things:

  1. DNA: Used for cloning
  2. Bones: Used for crafting tools and armor
  3. Junk: Sand, gravel, or bone meal

Step 3: Cultivation

Once DNA is obtained, it must be placed in a Culture Vat along with Bio-Goo (fuel). The vat will slowly grow an Egg (for dinosaurs/birds) or an Embryo (for mammals). Note: There is a small chance of failure, which results in the creation of a Failuresaurus.

Step 4: Hatching and Birth

  • Eggs: Must be placed on the ground. Most dinosaur eggs require a specific environment (e.g., warmth or water) to hatch.
  • Embryos: Must be right-clicked onto a domestic animal (like a cow or pig) to act as a surrogate mother. After a period of time, the animal will give birth to the prehistoric creature.
