Fossils and Archeology Revival FAQ

Mine Fossil Blocks and Calcite Fossil Blocks to obtain Bio Fossils, then place them in an Archeology Workbench to extract bones, relics, and other materials.

The Archeology Workbench is crafted using a shaped crafting recipe and is the primary station for cleaning Bio Fossils into usable items like bones, Ancient Stone, and Amber Chunks.

Place a dinosaur Egg into a Culture Vat, which uses the fossil:culture_vat recipe type to incubate and produce a hatched result.

The Analyzer is a block used to process fossils and related items; place the appropriate input inside to receive analyzed outputs.

Ancient Stone can be crafted into Ancient Stone Bricks, Slabs, Stairs, and Walls using crafting_shaped and stonecutting recipes.

Ancient Wood Logs can be converted into Ancient Wood Planks, which then craft into Ancient Wood Slabs and Ancient Wood Stairs via shaped recipes.

Amber Ore drops Amber Chunks, which can be crafted into Amber Blocks; Amber Chunks are also obtainable through fossil processing.

Bone Boots, Chestplate, Helmet, and Leggings are crafted from bone-type materials using shaped crafting recipes at a standard crafting table.

Ancient Sword and Ancient Helmet are obtained as relics from fossil processing; Broken variants exist and can be repaired via smithing_transform recipes.

The Culture Vat uses the fossil:culture_vat recipe type; insert the required input (such as an Egg or Bio material) and it will process it into the resulting organism or item.

Calamites and Cordaites Logs craft into their respective Wood Planks, which then craft into Slabs, Stairs, Fences, Fence Gates, Doors, Trapdoors, Buttons, and Pressure Plates via shaped recipes.

The Ancient Chest is a block found in ancient structures and can also be crafted; it functions as storage and may contain relics like Ancient Keys or Ancient Clocks.
