What the Grave Mob Does and How to Deal With It

Understanding the Grave Mob

The mod adds a Grave mob that is associated with your death and the grave that stores your items. Rather than being a typical hostile threat you farm, the Grave is tied to the grave mechanic itself. If you encounter a Grave mob, treat it as part of the death-and-recovery system rather than a normal enemy to seek out.

Interacting Safely

When you return to your death location, approach carefully. If a Grave mob is present, deal with it before you try to open the grave so you are not interrupted while retrieving items. Come prepared with your usual combat gear, since you may have lost your best equipment when you died.

Avoiding Trouble

If you can, recover your grave during daylight or when the area is clear of other mobs. Fighting near your grave risks dying again and creating a new grave, which can make recovery confusing. Clear nearby threats first, then retrieve your items, then leave the area. If the Grave mob is not attacking you, you may be able to simply collect your items and go.
