Obtaining the Grave Finder

To get a Grave Finder, you need to craft it using the recipe defined by the mod. The exact ingredients are shown in your recipe book or in JEI/REI once the mod is installed, so open your crafting interface and search for "Grave Finder" to see the layout. Craft as many as you think you will need, since you may want a spare in case you die again before recovering your items.

Using It to Locate a Grave

Hold the Grave Finder and use it. It will give you a directional hint toward your most recent grave. Use it again after moving to refresh the direction. The Finder is most useful immediately after death, before you have traveled far, but it still works from a distance as long as the grave exists.

Practical Tips

Keep a Grave Finder in your ender chest or a nearby chest so you do not lose it along with everything else when you die. If you play on a server, remember that the Finder points to your own grave, not another player's. Once you have recovered your items, the grave is cleared and the Finder will no longer point to it.
