Use the Grave Finder
After you die, your items are stored in a Grave at your death location. Craft or obtain a
Grave Finder, then use it to point you toward your grave. When you use the
Grave Finder, it will indicate the direction and distance to your grave, similar to how an Eye of Ender points to a stronghold. Follow the direction it gives you, using it repeatedly as you travel to keep on track.
Recovering Your Items
Once you reach the grave, interact with it to retrieve your stored items. The grave holds everything you had on you when you died, so make sure you have empty inventory space before opening it. If you died far from your base, consider bringing a way to get back quickly, or clear the grave and return home before doing anything risky.
If You Cannot Find the Grave
If the
Grave Finder does not seem to point anywhere useful, double-check that you are in the same dimension where you died. Graves exist in the dimension of death, so a grave from the Nether will not be found while you are in the Overworld. Also confirm you have not already emptied the grave, since an emptied grave no longer holds your items.
