Keeping Dolphins Alive in Empty Waters
Dolphins in Minecraft are aquatic mobs with a quirk: they need air, and they can suffocate if they stay submerged too long. In vanilla, this is rarely a problem because dolphins near a player get pulled toward the surface and can breathe. But once every player leaves the area, that behavior stops mattering — the dolphin can be left underwater and drown while nobody is watching.
Dolphin Fix Mod changes that. It prevents dolphins from drowning when no players are nearby, so a dolphin that would otherwise die off-screen simply survives until you return. The fix is server-side only, meaning it runs on the world/server and does not require anyone to install anything on their client.
This makes the mod useful for aquariums, decorative pools, and any build where you keep dolphins as a display rather than as active companions. Your dolphins stay put and stay alive, even in chunks no one is currently visiting.
