Laying the Foundation
Start with
Charred Spruce Foundation and
Charred Spruce Foundation Slab for the base course. These sit under the walls and read as a solid plinth. Above the foundation, place
Charred Spruce Timber Frame and
Charred Spruce Timber Frame Pillar to establish the structural skeleton. Pillars go at corners and at intervals along long walls; Timber Frame fills the panels between them.
Fill the gaps between the timber frame with
Charred Spruce Planks,
Charred Spruce Boards, or
Charred Spruce Wall.
Charred Spruce Plate is a thinner infill option for interior faces. For upper floors,
Charred Spruce Slab and
Charred Spruce Stairs handle the transitions.
Openings and Roof Details
Cut doorways with
Charred Spruce Door and cover them with
Charred Spruce Trapdoor where you want a half-height opening.
Charred Spruce Shutter and
Charred Spruce Tall Shutter close off windows without glass.
Charred Spruce Fence and
Charred Spruce Fence Gate work for exterior railings or yard boundaries, while
Charred Spruce Railing suits balconies and stair edges.
For the roof, use
Charred Spruce Roof Support along the eaves and
Charred Spruce Beam,
Charred Spruce Edge,
Charred Spruce Lattice, and
Charred Spruce Pergola for exposed framing.
Charred Spruce Support Beam and
Charred Spruce Support Slab add depth under overhangs. Charred Spruce Pergola is especially useful over a doorway or a garden path to suggest a covered entry.
