Placing an Unlit Campfire

With this mod installed, newly placed campfires start unlit. This gives you control over when a spawn point is created, since lighting the campfire is what sets your respawn. Place the campfire first, arrange the area around it, then ignite it with flint & steel when you are ready.

Putting Out a Campfire

To extinguish a campfire, right-click it while holding sand, dirt, or soul sand. The campfire goes out and stops acting as a spawn point. This is useful when you want to temporarily disable a respawn location without breaking the block. You can relight it later with flint & steel to restore the spawn point.

Fixing Waterlogged Campfires

If a campfire becomes waterlogged, reignite it with flint & steel to remove the waterlogging. A waterlogged campfire will not function as a spawn point, so this is the fix when your respawn stops working after water gets involved.

Avoiding Stray Fire

When you click the side of a campfire, the mod stops fire from being placed on adjacent blocks. This prevents accidental fires spreading to nearby wood or foliage, making campfire placement safer inside builds.
