How to Use the Eternal Steak (and Why It Never Disappears)

Eating It

Hold the Eternal Steak in your hand and use it exactly like normal food — right-click (or your platform's use button) while it is selected. It restores hunger and saturation, but unlike a normal steak it is not consumed. The stack stays in your inventory after every bite, so you can eat again as soon as your hunger drops.

What This Means in Practice

• No food farming needed. Once you have it, you can stop carrying bread, cooked beef, or golden carrots for yourself.
• Great for long expeditions. Mining trips, Nether runs, and boss fights no longer require a food slot.
• It still respects normal eating rules. You cannot eat while already full, and eating still takes the usual time, so it is not a combat heal.

Things to Watch Out For

Do not throw it away thinking it is a duplicate — it is a single permanent item. Keep it in a safe slot or an ender chest if you are doing risky content, since losing it means finding another one. If you play on a server with keep-inventory rules off, treat it like any other valuable artifact and store a backup plan.
