Finding the New Paintings

The four new paintings added by this data pack function exactly like vanilla paintings. They appear in the Creative mode inventory under the Decorations tab alongside standard paintings. In Survival mode, you can obtain them by crafting or finding them in the world depending on your server configuration.

Placing Paintings on Walls

1. Hold a painting in your hand

2. Look at any solid block face (wood, stone, concrete, etc.)

3. Right-click to place the painting

4. The painting will randomly select one of the available designs when placed

Paintings require a solid block behind them and need at least a 1×1 space. Larger paintings may require more wall space. If a painting doesn't fit, it won't place—try a different wall section.

Rotating and Repositioning

You cannot rotate individual paintings after placement. If you want a different painting design or orientation, break the current one (left-click) and place a new one. The random selection means you may need to place several paintings to get your desired artwork.

Decorating Tips

Mix the new paintings with vanilla paintings for variety. They work well in galleries, throne rooms, libraries, and homes. Group paintings together on large walls for maximum visual impact.
