Use an Anvil to Add Smite via Enchanted Book

Preparing Your Materials

You'll need:

• A heavy weapon (greatsword, hammer, mace, or bone club)
• An enchanted book with Smite
• An anvil
• Enough experience levels to cover the anvil cost

Combining at the Anvil

1. Open the anvil interface

2. Place your weapon in the left slot

3. Place the Smite enchanted book in the right slot

4. The preview will show the result

5. Click the output slot to combine them

Getting Smite Books

Enchanted books with Smite can be obtained by:

• Enchanting books at an enchanting table
• Finding them as loot
• Trading with librarians if available in your world
• Combining multiple lower-level Smite books in an anvil to create higher levels

This method is useful when you want to guarantee Smite on a specific weapon without relying on random enchanting table rolls.
