Finding Library Rooms

The Mages Guild features dedicated library areas filled with bookshelves, amethyst crystals, and lanterns. These rooms contain multiple chests holding enchanted books—the main reward for exploring the structure.

Chest locations:

Library rooms are typically on upper floors
Look for areas with extensive bookshelves and decorative elements
Chests are often placed against walls or in alcoves
Multiple chests may spawn in a single library room

Looting Efficiently

1. Clear all enemies from the library before opening chests

2. Bring empty inventory space or a large storage container

3. Open each chest and collect the enchanted books inside

4. Note which enchantments you find—some are more valuable than others for early game progression

5. Consider leaving low-value books if inventory space is limited

These enchanted books can be applied to tools, weapons, and armor using an anvil, giving you a significant early-game advantage before you build an enchanting table. The variety of books available makes multiple visits worthwhile.
