Finding and Exploring Grand Capitals

Locating Rebuilt Villages and Illager Structures

Grand Capitals replaces vanilla villages and illager structures with larger, rebuilt versions. Because these are overhauls of existing structures rather than new ones, you find them the same way you would find a normal village or illager outpost: by exploring the surface world and watching for their silhouettes on the horizon.

Once you arrive, expect a different layout from vanilla. Structures are organized into districts, so a single capital can contain several themed areas rather than one loose cluster of buildings. Walk the whole site before you start looting, since districts are spread out and it is easy to miss a section.

Loot follows the rebuilt layout, so chests and containers sit where the new districts place them rather than where vanilla would. Search each district thoroughly.

Compatibility matters here: because the mod changes vanilla structures directly, other mods that edit the same villages or illager structures may conflict with it.
