Match Sky Gradients to Your World Theme
Access Sky Gradient Options
Open the Flux Shaders configuration menu and find the sky or atmosphere section. This controls the smooth color transitions that replace the default Minecraft sky.
Customize Gradient Colors
Look for sliders or color pickers that control:
- Horizon Color: The color at the edge of your visible world. Warm tones (orange, pink) work well for sunrise/sunset themes.
- Zenith Color: The color directly overhead. Cool blues create a natural daytime sky; purples and deep blues suit twilight.
- Sky Saturation: Adjusts how vivid the colors appear. Increase for vibrant, stylized skies; decrease for muted, naturalistic tones.
Apply Thematic Consistency
Test your gradient settings at different times of day. The shader automatically transitions between day and night cycles, so your custom gradient should complement both. For fantasy builds, use unusual color combinations like purple and gold. For realistic landscapes, stick to natural blue-to-orange transitions. The round sun will sit against your chosen gradient, so ensure contrast for visibility. Adjust until the sky feels cohesive with your terrain and structures.
