Optimize Flow Reimagined Shaders for Your Computer
Check Your Frame Rate
Load into a world and open the debug screen to see your current FPS. If you're dropping below your target frame rate, the shader settings need adjustment.
Reduce Visual Effects
Access the shader options menu (usually through the pause screen or video settings). Look for toggles related to bloom intensity, shadow quality, and cloud rendering. Disabling or lowering bloom effects provides the biggest performance boost while maintaining the shader's core aesthetic.
Start by reducing shadow distance—this limits how far shadows render from your character, significantly improving performance in open areas.
Disable Advanced Features
If frame rate is still low, turn off volumetric effects or ambient occlusion if available. These features add depth but consume more resources.
Test in Different Environments
Performance varies by location. Test in open sky areas, dense forests, and underground caves. If one environment causes lag, you may need more aggressive settings adjustments.
Monitor Temperature
If your device gets hot while playing, reduce settings further. Sustained high temperatures can damage hardware over time.
