The Bystone dimension is accessible before you reach the Nether, giving you an early-game alternative dimension to explore. Look for a portal structure in the Overworld—it will have a distinctive appearance that sets it apart from standard terrain.

What to Expect Inside

Once you enter Bystone, you'll find yourself in a realm filled with crystal biomes featuring colorful terrain unlike anything in the regular Overworld. The dimension contains unique structures scattered throughout, offering loot and resources you won't find elsewhere.

Preparing for Exploration

Bring basic tools and armor before entering—the dimension spawns unusual mobs that are more challenging than early Overworld enemies. Collect the crystal blocks and materials you find; these are valuable for crafting and building. Watch for structures as you explore; they often contain valuable items and equipment upgrades.

The Bystone dimension is designed as a mid-early game progression point, so don't expect it to be as dangerous as the Nether, but come prepared with decent gear and weapons.
