Unlocking New Familiars with Experience and Achievements

Understanding Familiar Unlocks

Not all familiars are available from the start. The mod uses two primary unlock methods: Experience Points (XP) and Achievements. This progression system encourages exploration and varied gameplay.

Unlocking with Experience

1. Earn XP by mining, defeating mobs, smelting, and other standard Minecraft activities

2. Open your familiar menu or interface

3. Browse locked familiars and select one you wish to unlock

4. Spend the required XP amount to permanently unlock that familiar

5. The familiar will now appear in your inventory for equipping

Unlocking with Achievements

1. Complete specific in-game achievements (sleeping in beds, defeating bosses, traveling distances, etc.)

2. Certain familiars unlock automatically when you achieve their linked milestone

3. Check your achievements menu to see which familiars are tied to specific accomplishments

Strategy Tips

Focus on achievements that align with your current gameplay to unlock familiars naturally. Save XP for familiars you want immediately, or grind XP if you prefer faster unlocks.
