Understanding Your Three Stances
Your combat style changes instantly based on what you're holding. Mastering stance switching lets you adapt to any fight.
Two-Handed Stance
Keep your offhand completely empty. This unlocks your longest combo chains and most powerful heavy attacks. You'll perform four-hit normal combos, dash strikes, and jump attacks. Use this stance against tough single enemies where raw damage matters.
One-Handed Stance
Place any item in your offhand—a shield, torch, or tool. This shifts you to single-handed attack strings, ideal for defensive play or when you need utility items ready. Shields provide the most protection.
Powerstance (Dual-Wield)
Equip a weapon in both your main and offhand slots. You'll enter a special dual-wield moveset with synchronized attack chains and double jumping slashes. This stance excels at hitting multiple targets quickly but uses stamina faster.
Switching Mid-Combat
You can swap stances between attacks without interrupting your flow. Drop or pick up items from your hotbar to change your stance instantly, then continue fighting. Practice switching to match each enemy's weakness.
