Enhanced Portals 3 Mod FAQ

It is a teleportation mod that lets you build customizable, multi-dimensional portal networks of any shape or size. You can transport players, mobs, animals, items, fluids, and even energy to other locations or dimensions.

It adds the Portal Frame, Portal Controller, Redstone Interface, Network Interface, Dialling Device, and Biometric Identifier. The Portal Controller handles the portal's logic and stores its data.

Portals can be any shape you want, as long as it is a closed, flat area. They do not need to be rectangular.

Use a Network Interface and set a network identifier in its GUI to connect to all portals sharing that identifier. A Redstone Interface set to create a portal will then connect to the next portal in the network list.

It is an upgraded Network Interface that connects to other portals directly by dialling their unique Portal ID. You can save portal IDs into a list and select from them later.

Yes, the Redstone Interface lets portals receive redstone signals to create, remove, or dial portals, and emit redstone signals based on portal events like Portal Created or Entity Touch Portal.

It filters which entities can use your portals, with separate permission lists for entities being sent from and received by the portal. One mode matches the entity's name, including names from Name Tags.

Portals are powered by Redstone Flux or EU.

It is the main block for portal structures and does most of the portal's logic while storing all of its data. As long as the Portal Controller is not broken, the portal's data stays intact even if other parts are removed, replaced, or added.

Yes, the Dialling Device can customize the portal, frame, and particle texture based on which portal it is dialling. It also turns the receiving portal's textures to match, and both return to their original textures when the connection ends.
