How to See Enchantment Descriptions on the Enchanting Table Screen

Why the Table Screen Matters

The enchanting table is where you commit XP levels to a random enchantment, so knowing what each option does before you click is valuable. With this mod installed, hovering over the enchantment entries shown on the enchanting table interface reveals the same descriptions you see in tooltips.

Step-by-Step

1. Place your item in the left slot of the enchanting table and insert lapis lazuli as usual.

2. The three enchantment options appear on the right with their cryptic names.

3. Hover your cursor over any of the three options.

4. A tooltip appears listing the enchantment and its description.

This lets you decide whether a cheaper option is worth taking or whether you should reroll by swapping items. Because the descriptions are client-side, they appear even on servers where the mod is not installed server-side.

Enchantment Book Screens

The same descriptions show on the screens used to view or apply enchanted books, such as an anvil or a grindstone. Hover the book to confirm what it will add before spending levels. This is especially handy when sorting a chest full of books — you can identify each one without opening a wiki tab.
